This project began in 2015, and is currently still ongoing. A teardrop trailer, also known as a teardrop camper trailer, is a streamlined, compact, lightweight travel trailer. It's title comes from the shape of the profile of the trailer itself. My design is 8 feet long and 5 feet wide; just enough room for a short-queen mattress and sleeps two (and perhaps two dogs). Teardrops have been around since the 1930's and remained popular till the 1960's when larger camper/trailers became favored for their larger living space and amenities.

The intent behind this project comes from my interest both in photography and the American landscape. Due to its lightweight, "teardrops" can be dragged around the country for little cost difference when compared to non-towing driving. This is an essential aspect of a series of both photography and painting that will derive directly from my travel experiences, dogs included.
